Learn the practice of Tai-chi Chuan, a martial art with a unique system of exercises developed hundreds of years ago in China by Taoist monks.
Three different sets were created for McGroarty, each increasing in difficulty, and practiced according to the level of the students attending the class.
The basic movements of Tai-chi use every part of the body. Hands, elbows, fists, legs, shoulders, head, feet, toes, even the eyes, are all brought into play in a pattern of continually flowing movement. The movements are performed in a slow, almost leisurely manner, without any special muscular effort. And because they are not strenuous, anyone from eight to eighty can practice Tai-chi at no risk of injury and with the promise of renewed vitality.
McGroarty is an art center, not a dojo. Come to have fun and to learn this amazing martial art at your desired level of proficiency.
