Covid FAQ:

Update: As of March 31, 2023, the City of Los Angeles, has lifted COVID-19 restrictions. Masks are optional. Vaccinations checks are optional. McGroarty Arts Center wishes all of their students, instructors, and staff safe.

The City of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, and McGroarty Arts Center want to keep you, our instructors, and staff safe from COVID-19. McGroarty Arts Center will be enforcing the COVID guidelines put in place by the City of Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. We wish for you to follow these guidelines to enjoy all the classes and events we will be offering. Thank you.

 

1.      Do we have to wear masks?

Wearing a mask is high recommended but is optional.

2.      Will McGroarty check vaccinations?

The City of Los Angeles no longer requires McGroarty Arts Center to check for vaccinations.

3.      How many vaccinations do I need?

Vaccination checks are not mandatory to enter the building. If you like to show your vaccinations, you must have two (Pfizer or Moderna) or one (Johnson & Johnson)

4.      What if I’m unvaccinated and want to sign up for class?     

You can still sign up for classes. We are no longer required to check for vaccinations.

5.      Are that any distancing restrictions?

We ask that you try your best to stay 6ft apart as much as possible. The 6ft social distancing is highly recommended, but not required.

6.      When will these guidelines be lifted?

The City of Los Angeles and the Department of Cultural Affairs have informed us that all COVID guidelines have been lifted since February 1st, 2023.

7.      Can I still come to class if I’m showing COVID-19 symptoms?

We ask that you quarantine for at least 5-10 days or until you are no longer showing any symptoms without symptom reducing medication

We may also ask to see a negative PCR test upon your return to the center

Please also inform the McGroarty staff that you are experience symptoms and have tested positive. If you were present

8.      Can I still come to class if I tested positive but not showing symptoms?

Please quarantine for at least 5-10 days or until you receive a negative PCR or at home test to return to class or until you are not longer showing symptoms.

9.      Can I get a partial refund or prorate if I miss class due to COVID?

We will not be giving out partial refunds or prorate your tuition if you miss a class or two due to COVID
